Managed Postgres products can charge compute differently even at the same database size. The demo assumes one 0.25 CU Neon Launch instance and lets you change its active hours and database size.

As of 2026-10, the Neon example is active hours × 0.25 CU × $0.106/CU-hour plus storage GB × $0.35/GB-month. The Supabase Pro example uses $25/month for its first Micro project and adds $0.125/GB beyond 8 GB of database storage. Both use only selected parts of the official price sheets.

Compute performance, auth and storage features, backups, and network costs are not equivalent. A shorter bar does not prove a cheaper equivalent workload; use it to identify which billing units need checking.

When to use

Use it to test sensitivity to active compute time and storage before choosing Postgres hosting; check each product entry for backend features.
