PlanetScale offers managed Postgres and MySQL. It is an option for teams choosing a database engine and deployment configuration.

As of 2026-10, there is no free database plan. Base single-node Postgres starts at $5/month. That is a starting configuration price; actual bills vary with compute, storage, backups, egress, and region. Full overage rates for every configuration could not be verified from the public pricing page, so the demo does not calculate a total.

Do not read the lowest starting price as a full app bill. MySQL and Postgres configurations differ; choose engine, nodes, and backup needs before obtaining a quote.
