The OpenTelemetry Go Logs API and SDK reached release candidate status in August 2026. Go applications can create log records in a common model, batch them, and export them with trace context. The RC covers the log and sdk/log modules.

The demo gathers log records into a small batch before export. An RC is not yet a stable v1 compatibility guarantee, and exporters and logtest remained experimental at the announcement.

When to use

Use it when adopting OpenTelemetry log instrumentation in a Go service or checking its maturity.
